With our in-home services you will have peace of mind knowing your pets are comfortable in their own home. You can also rest easy knowing that someone is watching over your home and can immediately notify you in case of emergency. You will have the convenience of leaving and arriving at your leisure without stressing about drop-off or pick-up times. Our drop-in visits will keep your pets happy and on their usual schedule. We do not charge additional fees for things like brushing, dispensing of treats or socialization like many boarding facilities. Our care is meant to be all-inclusive and make things easier for both you and your pets!

Why choose in-home petting sitting over traditional boarding?
#1 – Comfort of your pets
No matter how great a boarding facility is or how nice the staff, it’s just not home. Most pets experience fear and anxiety when left in strange places. Many pets even refuse to eat and lose weight when they stay at a kennel. The smells of the cleaning products used in kennels are similar to the smells at a vet’s office and many pets associate that with a negative experience. Additionally, the hustle and bustle, not to mention the noise of the other pets, can intensify an anxious response. In a boarding facility the staff have to split their attention between many dogs and that means that your pet will not only be in an unknown environment, but they will not be the center of attention. With in-home care, the primary focus of each visit is your pet. Besides quick chores like retrieving mail and tidying up, the majority of the time will be spent interacting with your pets. Another added benefit is that if you have a pet family that includes more than one species (i.e. cats and dogs) they will be able to stay together in their home. At a boarding facility it is not possible to board cats and dogs together.
#2 – Convenience
Most boarding facilities have specific drop-off and pick-up times or appointments and that’s just one more thing to worry about. With us, you just enjoy your trip and leave the rest to us. If your flight gets delayed or you’re running behind you won’t have to worry about paying extra fees for a late pick-up. We start with an initial consultation prior to booking to make sure it’s a good fit for everyone, take notes about the routines of your pets, get acquainted with your home, discuss rates, and obtain a form of entry to the home. After that, all you need to worry about is planning your trip!
#3 – Care of your home
With in-home pet care you have an extra set of eyes and ears on your home while you’re away. We are happy to bring in any mail or packages, open and close blinds, and rotate lights so that the home does not appear vacant. If something out of the ordinary pops up like a leak inside the house we will be able to notify you quickly to mitigate damage. We are licensed, bonded, and insured so you can be assured that your pets and belongings are in good hands. Additionally, we do offer housecleaning services so that you can return to a neat, clean and orderly home.
#4 – Better value
The Fairy Dogmother provides all-inclusive care for your pet. We do not charge extra fees for things like giving out treats, one-on-one playtime, walks or dispensing medication. When you compare the costs of in-home care and kennel boarding side by side, you will be pleased by the value we provide. The savings are even greater if you have two or more pets.
